1) Purpose
Coordinate people and organisations to co-creatively promote and build support for the Integrated Rights Framework (IRF) internationally.
2) Who can join
Practitioners, NGOs, communities, businesses, academics, funders, and all allies who support the purpose and want to take action.
3) Community values

Respect & kindness — listen well, disagree respectfully.

Integrity — evidence-based, no greenwashing / do what you say you will do

Practicality — action over rhetoric; share what works.

Creativity — make space for diverse voices, lived experience and new aligned approaches.

Solutions Focussed — this is a co-creative space - be supportive, proactive and focus on solutions.
4) Code of conduct (Do / Don’t)
Do

Be civil, concise, and relevant to the Integrated Rights Framework approach.

Credit collaborators; ask consent before sharing others’ materials externally.

Use content warnings where appropriate; respect privacy.
Don’t
-
Harass, troll, discredit, undermine or use discriminatory language.

Share confidential items or personal data without permission.

Spam, sell, or solicit funding for unrelated projects.
5) Channels & posting

WhatsApp (primary): quick coordination, links, short asks.

Email/Drive/Other platforms (if used): documents, longer threads, working groups.

Keep WhatsApp readable: 1 message > 5 in a row; use threads/replies where available; summarise long links.
6) Privacy & data

We follow UK GDPR principles. Share only what you’re comfortable making visible to members.

Don’t forward screenshots or messages outside the group without permission.

For case studies, obtain written consent if individuals/locations are identifiable.
7) Media & external comms

Members may speak about their own work.

Quoting Nature’s Rights positions or using logos requires prior approval: contact@natures-rights.org.
8) Endorsements & use of name/logo

To endorse the Integrated Rights Framework as an organisation, use the simple form we provide.

Logos/brand: Please use only with permission and according to our brand guidelines.

Personal endorsements are welcome—please state your affiliation “for identification only” if your organisation has not endorsed.
9) Political engagement (cross-party)

We work with all parties.
-
No party-political campaigning in the community spaces.
-
Constituency outreach should be factual, respectful, and aligned with the principles of the Integrated Rights Framework.
10) Meetings & onboarding

Essentials Training (self-paced) then a live onboarding call.
-
Optional working groups meet monthly. Updates are shared.
11) Conflicts of interest & fundraising
-
Declare material interests (projects, vendors, funding bids) when relevant.
-
No cold fundraising to members.
12) Safeguarding & accessibility
-
Flag accessibility needs ahead of calls; we’ll adapt formats wherever possible.

Report concerns (safety, harassment, safeguarding) to contact@natures-rights.org for a discreet response.
13) Enforcement of these collaboration guidelines (graduated)

Friendly nudge (DM or tag).

Moderator warning with guidance.
-
Temporary mute/suspension for repeated breaches.
-
Removal for harassment, confidentiality breaches, or persistent misconduct.

Community content is collaborative - we are not giving legal advice to any community members.
18) How to ask for help (fast)

Start your post with ASK: and be specific (e.g., “ASK: sample council motion; need by Friday”).

Share a one-paragraph context + link; propose the next step.
19) How to offer help

Start with CAN: (e.g., “CAN: review a 1-pager; 48-hour turnaround”).

Add your area (policy, comms, funding, Nature’s Rights Zones, business engagement, education etc).
20) Leaving / pausing

You can leave any time; just let us know if you need to remove shared materials.

We may tidy inactive lists quarterly to keep things responsive—rejoin any time via the onboarding link.
